We are overly excited every year about celebrating commencement weekend for each local university here at Circle Hotel and at our sister property, Hotel Hi-Ho! Why, you ask? Well our two hotels are in very close proximity to three prestige schools making us a prime location for overnight accommodations, as we frequently welcome guests affiliated with the universities throughout the year!

We take pride in being huge supporters of many local university events, including: Student Move-In, Parents/Alumni Family Weekend, and more. However, Graduation Weekend is certainly the most exciting! This year, University of Bridgeport held their commencement on May 6th, and we enjoyed welcoming families and loved ones of students at both of our hotels. Sacred Heart University’s commencement weekend kicks off today, and Fairfield University’s takes place next weekend. Both hotels have teamed up and put forth additional amenities for the guests who are in town for these festivities.

First, guests of both hotels will be welcomed in the lobby with our attentive staff awaiting their arrival. They’ll be given gift bags upon check-in that will include bottles of water, a variety of snacks, and a welcome letter from the general manager. Guests of Hotel Hi-Ho will also receive a gift bag from Barcelona Wine Bar Fairfield, the hotel’s on-site restaurant.

Second, both hotels’ daily complimentary breakfast offerings will be elevated with additional items prepared by Circle Diner (at Circle Hotel) and Barcelona Wine Bar (at Hotel Hi-Ho.) At Circle Hotel, Circle Diner will prepare hot items including eggs, hash browns, and bacon for all guests to enjoy! Alongside, at Hotel Hi-Ho, Barcelona Wine Bar will prepare items inspired by their Spanish cuisine, including a variety of frittatas.

Additionally, guests staying at both hotels will notice university flags and banners displayed proudly in the lobby and entrance areas! To top it all off, guests staying at Circle Hotel during Fairfield University’s commencement weekend will have access to a complimentary shuttle, which will transport guests to and from the ceremonies.
